Jay Magunia is a software engineer at SAIC, holding several AWS certifications and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From the Philadelphia suburbs, he balances a career in technology with a love of music and mindfulness — playing guitar and meditating in his free time.

Some of his recent events include completing the Berklee Online Guitar for Beginners course. He has read two books so far this year and completed his reading goal for the year. In September 2026, he had his 4 year work anniversery. He does listen to music quite a bit. The following is a favorites playlist he created out of Apple music. It plays most of the songs that are on repeat at his home. Every morning, he wakes up listening to “I Can’t Even” by Noctilucent off the Drowing EP. It has 123 plays. Suprisingly, that is not the most played song; “Enfold” by Madeleine Cocolas off the 2022 Spectral album has 161 plays.
